PURPOSE: To perform load sharing control correctly during deceleration of a winder and to wind a roll with uniform tension by operating a paper density based on an actual operational data and employing thus operated paper density in the compensation of acceleration/deceleration.
CONSTITUTION: A paper density operating unit 9 operates a paper density based on a deceleration rate of a winding roll, a tension value provided from a tension detector 18, a roll diameter and a driving torque of a winding drum. A comparator 11 compares thus operated paper density with a paper density set in a paper density setter 10 and if there is a considerable difference between them, an alarm 19 is outputted and the paper density is provided to an inertia moment operating unit 12. An acceleration/deceleration compensating circuit 13 outputs an acceleration/deceleration torque component of inertia moment to be compensated for during acceleration/deceleration of a motor on the helper side. A speed control circuit 17 determines a torque reference based on a set value in a winder speed setter 16 and feedback signal fed from a speed detector 7. The torque reference is outputted from the speed control circuit 17.
