Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding apparatus by which a strip rolled to a prescribed thickness on the outlet side of a finishing mill and joined can be cut and wound by down-coilers, to manufacture product coils in the endless rolling of hot rolling joining a plurality of strips and rolling them.
SOLUTION: A plurality of down-coilers 4, 6 are arranged on the downstream of a hot finishing mill 1, and shears 7 are installed on the upstream of the pinch roll 3 of a downcoiler on an uppermost stream, further threading devices 8, 9 preventing the strips from floating in the air, are provided respectively between the shears and the pinch roll on the uppermost and between the pinch rolls the down-cilers. The threading device is a guide device limiting the heights of the stripes 2 floating in the air, and the strips are sucked by an air flow. Also an upper pinch roll is supported by a hydraulic cylinder.
