Abstract:
To shorten a period of time required for an initial operation and an operation immediately after exchanging a winding body.SOLUTION: A packaging device packages a packaging object using a winding body in which a long sheet-shaped packaging material is wound. The winding body has a recording medium for storing information. The information recorded on the recording medium includes remaining amount information indicating a remaining amount of the packaging material in the winding body. The packaging device includes: a driving part that generates a driving force for rotating the winding body; an information reading part that reads the remaining amount information stored in the recording medium; and a control part that controls the packaging device. The control part sets a rotation speed of the winding body based on the remaining amount information read by the information reading part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
