To attain reduction of manufacturing cost by enhancing winding change efficiency to a short length roll by eliminating use of an expandable/contractable winding core independently used in a prior art and eliminating requirement of a cycle mechanism of the winding core, in a winding change machine for forming a coreless roll product by performing winding change from a long length stock roll to a short length roll.
In the winding change machine for winding/returning the web from the long length stock roll and winding changing it to the short length roll, the winding core three-divided on the circumference is divided from a center, and the respective winding cores 10, 10' are installed on distal ends of air cylinders 5, 5 in respective winding core devices 2, 2' mounted to left and right turret board 1, 1' so as to be pressed to each other. The left and right winding cores 10, 10' are advanced, pressed together and enlarged by operation of the air cylinders 5, 5' to perform winding of the web. Whereas, after completion of winding, the left and right winding cores are retreated and contracted to enable taking out of the rolling-up roll.
