PURPOSE: To provide a winding device for a belt-like substance, such as a film, a sheet, and a paper.

CONSTITUTION: A winding device comprises a mill roll 1 to wind a belt-like substance, and a press roll 4 located facing the mill roll and pressing a belt-like substance 9. Pressure use of the press roll 4 is controlled according to the oscillation frequency of the press roll 4 changed with the increase in a differential size. This constitution prevents production of wrinkles of the belt-like substance 9 and the occurrence of selvage friction thereof.
