To provide a winding device capable of preventing cob-webbing from occurring under an unstable situation of yarn tension when winding yarn after piecing-up the yarns.

This winding device includes a traverse drum being rotated and driven and a yarn guide frame for moving and guiding the yarn toward the traverse drum. The yarn guide frame is provided with a pair of regulation walls to form a zigzag yarn threading port between both of the regulation walls. The yarn being traverse-operated by the traverse drum is moved and guided by the regulation walls, and the width of traverse of the traverse drum is restrained to become smaller toward a central side of a yarn passage for the yarn to prevent the yarn tension from being reduced in the twilling manner at both of side ends of package.
