For facilitating takeout of a winding material (5) from a winding material opening device (10) and/or introduction of the winding material (5) into the winding material opening device (10), rolls (16 and 18) are movable, particularly turnable, and thereby, when the rolls (16 and 18) exist in a takeout position, the rolls can freely approach the winding material (5). The winding material opening device (10) according to the present invention is particularly used in relation to winding of a fiber bundle or so-called prepreg.
