PURPOSE: To facilitate winding work by a method wherein winding peculiarity is firstly provided by winding a winding down coil on the outside circumference of an insulating cylinder when a disk winding is wound in multistage on the outside circumference of the insulating cylinder through spacers and the coil is transferred on a guide provided at a multistage outside circumference section and is inverted and a winding coil is formed by winding the winding down coil on the insulating cylinder from the coil at the outside circumference.

CONSTITUTION: When a multistage winding coil 6B is wound on the outside circumference of an insulating cylinder 2 by providing space by spacers 7, firstly, a winding down coil 6A is wound on the outside circumference of the insulating cylinder 2 for providing winding peculiarity. Next, the coil 6A is taken out of the insulating cylinder 2 to expand the diameter and is mounted on a guide 10 on the outside circumference of the coil 6B to be wound and the winding down coil is successively wound from that wound on the outside circumference of the winding down coil and the winding coil 6B is formed. This process is repeated to form a multistage coil and the unrequired guide 10 is removed. This reduces the number of work processes.
