PURPOSE: To make removal of a label from a bottle easy and prevent peeling of a superposed part, by a method wherein at the time when the tip and a rear end of the label are superposed upon each other and wound round a PET bottle, the label made of polypropylene whose tensile modulus of elasticity in the circumferential direction of the bottle is within a range of a specific value is used.
CONSTITUTION: A long-sized label 1 made of polypropylene whose tensile modulus of elasticity in the circumferential direction of a bottle is 80-200kg/mm2 is used, which is cut into fixed dimensions and becomes blank 3. The blank 3 is moved by being sucked by a vacuum drum 6 and a hot melt agent 9 is attached by a part of a dotted protrusion of the vacuum drum 6. On the one hand, a PET bottle 7 moved away by a conveyor comes into contact with the blank 3, at that time the above-mentioned hot-melt agent 9 fixes the blank 3 and the blank 3 is wound round the PET bottle 7 in succession. On the one hand, a hot-melt agent 10 is attached to a rear end part of the blank 3 by an attaching roll 5, superposed upon the tip of the blank 3 and pressure- contacted by a beltlike protrusion of the vacuum drum 6.
