To provide a winding method of a long-sized web of a recording material for ink jet that has an ink receiving layer comprising inorganic fine particles and hydrophilic binder and hardly causes flaws or brightness irregularity on an ink receiving layer surface in a heating process or in a winding and storing time.
The recording material for ink jet is formed by applying an ink receiving layer containing the inorganic fine particles and the hydrophilic binder on a support body in which polyolefin resin covers both surfaces of base paper. When a winding tension of the long-sized web is T (kgf/m) and thickness of the ink receiving layer is t (m), the winding tension in manufacturing and machining is controlled in the range of 0.5 to 3 of numerical value A represented by A=T×t×1000.
