To move a winding shaft in the direction of length and pull it out of the center of a roll without damaging an inner face of the roll by providing a lubrication layer on a surface of a shaft material and providing rotatable roller parts in both end parts.
When a paper roll is manufactured and a winding shaft 1 is moved in the direction of length and is pulled out of the paper roll (a), it slides very easily due to a lubrication face 3, and its pulling out is easy and an inner face of the paper roll (a) is not damaged and a winding start end part of a web is not twisted and damaged. When a plurality of winding shafts 1 are brought in contact mutually and are put in parallel rows in a stock mechanism, adjacent winding shafts 1 are arranged in parallel in a line-contact condition in the direction of length, roller parts 4 in both end parts are received by a top face of each conveyance belt and are put thereon, and the whole outer peripheral faces of shaft materials are collected without coming in contact with anything.
