To attain improvement in confirmability of soldering propriety in a low-height winding-type coil component.
In a winding-type coil component 20; a coil lead wire 21 is wound around a winding rod of a core 10 including a winding rod 18 disposed vertically to a mounting face and a plate-like flange 12 provided in a terminal of the winding rod in contact with the mounting face, and a terminal 22 of the coil lead wire is fixed with a terminal electrode 17 on the bottom face 16 of the flange by soldering. An expansion 13 is provided in a part of a lateral side 19 of the flange in a lengthwise direction; a recess 15 is formed on the bottom face 16 of the flange 12 in contact with the expansion on the lateral side and a non-expansion 14 adjacent to the expansion; and the terminal electrode 17 is continuously provided over an inner wall surface 15A of the recess, a bottom face 13A of the expanding portion, and a bottom face 14A of the non-expansion. Therefore, an expansion dimension of the flange is utilized to form a fillet 35 easy to confirm soldering propriety without increasing the thickness dimension of the flange of the core and the height dimension of the core.
