To obtain a high through-put by automatically and tightly binding a starting end of a yarn to a bobbin at the start of winding, preventing the yarn from slipping off, then rotating a turntable at a high speed, rapidly winding the yarn around the bobbin and automating the whole yarn winding process with an inexpensive apparatus.
Empty bobbins B and housed in a laminated state in a bobbin take-in mechanism 4 and one bobbin B is taken in a yarn winding position P. The yarn end is held with a holding member 34 and then turned to stretch the starting end of the yarn parallel to the bobbin B. The starting end of the yarn is held on the side of the bobbin B with a holder 38 to face the yarn on the outer peripheral side of the bobbin B to a groove of the bobbin B with a ring member 6. The bobbin B is rotated in this state of the yarn with a turntable 57 to wind the yarn around the bobbin B. After the yarn onto the bobbin B, the yarn connecting to the bobbing B is cut with a cutter 72 and a full bobbin is taken out to the front and housed in a standing laminated state on a chain 81 of a stocker 79.
