Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration by providing a certain time difference between the time when a second relay is turned off and the time when a first relay is turned off while a compressor is stopped.
SOLUTION: A window air conditioner is provided having an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, a throttle mechanism, an indoor fan and an outdoor fan, all installed within one frame, with the air conditioner being secured to a room window to condition indoor air. The main winding 24 of the compressor 2 is connected in series with a normally open contact 27a of a first relay 27 and an auxiliary winding 25 is provided in parallel with the main winding 24. A capacitor 26 is provided in series with the auxiliary winding 25 and a normally open contact 28a of a second relay 28 is provided between the auxiliary winding 25 and the capacitor 26. A control part is provided which provides a predetermined time difference between the time when the second relay 28 is turned off and the time when the first relay 27 is turned off later while the compressor 2 is stopped.
