PURPOSE: To automatically open or close a window based on temperature in an automobile and the presence or absence of rainfall by a power window device that is driven by a motor by providing a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature in the automobile and a rainfall detector for detecting rainfall.

CONSTITUTION: A power window device for opening or closing a window by a motor is installed, a temperature sensor 4 and a rainfall detector 5 are connected to a controller 1, and at the same time temperature-setting equipment 3 for setting temperature for opening or closing the window is connected. Then, a temperature T1 at which the window is opened automatically and a temperature T2 at which the window is closed automatically are set by the temperature- setting equipment 3, a main switch 2 is turned on for starting when an engine is at halt, and a window is opened when the temperature in an automobile is equal to or at least T1 at n2, thus returning to n1. Also, if the temperature in the automobile is at most T2, or rainfall is detected when the window is open, operation is made to close the window and to return to n1, thus automatically opening or closing the window when the automobile is parked outdoors, and ensuring safety in the automobile.
