A window regulator includes a carrier plate for fixing a window glass, a guide rail for guiding the up-and-down motion of the carrier plate, a wire winding component arranged at the end of the guide rail, and a drive part for driving the up-and-down motion of the carrier plate through a wire. The wire winding component is provided with a guide rail accommodation part to accommodate the end of the guide rail and an opening to communicate with the guide rail accommodation part. A stopper for preventing at least one of the guide rail and the wire winding component from moving in the direction to loosen the tension of the wire is inserted in the opening.
