To provide a system and method for limiting transmission of wireless electromagnetic device radiation through the window of a mobile platform outer envelope.
A mobile platform 12 includes at least one window 16 on the outer envelope. A shielding layer 18 is applied to the window and electrically grounded onto the outer envelope. At least one transceiver hub 24, 34 is disposed within the mobile platform, and receives and/or transmits electromagnetic device radiation. An outside communication device communicates with the transceiver hub by radio. The shielding layer attenuates a part of radiation in contact with the window. Therefore, only a communication path between the transceiver hub and the outside communication device is operable. Transmission and/or reception of wireless equipment via a window path is effectively shielded by the shielding window, thereby reducing possibility of mobile platform's confusion upon an electric system or its interference upon a ground communication system.
