To provide a window capable of closing and locking a sliding screen can be carried out in one operation, reliably performing the locking operation, and preventing the sliding screen or the like from receiving an excessive force.

The window includes: the sliding screen 1 which is openably and closably supported in window frames 2, 11, 13, 14 by an arm 3; a slide part 49 which is slidably provided along the window frame 13; and an operation part 16 for opening and closing the sliding screen. The slide part 49 cooperates with the arm 3 and has a lock member 48 which is engaged with and released from a lock receiver 36 provided in the sliding screen. When the operation part 16 is operated toward the side of closing the sliding screen, the slide part moves the arm 3 toward the side of closing the sliding screen until the sliding screen is completely closed, and the cooperation with the arm 3 is disengaged when the sliding screen is completely closed. When the operation part 16 is further operated toward the side of closing the sliding screen, the lock member 48 slides along the window frame so as to be engaged with the lock receiver 36 of the sliding screen, thereby locking the sliding screen 1.
