PURPOSE: To enable automatic opening/closing of a windshield by providing guide rails for guiding the movement of the windshield between the front closing position of a cabin and the roof inside opening position of the cabin, and the windshield equipped with rollers being guided by the guide rails at its four corners.
CONSTITUTION: When first geared cables 11 are drawn by a driving part 12, for instance, in the closed condition of a windshield W, sliders 14 start to be drawn from the front ends of slide guides 7 toward the rear, and also engaging links 18 are likewise drawn. Thereby upper rollers 2 of the windshield W start to move on the upper guide rails 6. When the initial range of opening operation is over, the links 18 become disengaged from the sliders 14 by cam mechanisms, and thereafter tension is applied to second geared cables 15 being connected to the lower ends of the windshield W. When the cables 15 are drawn, the lower ends of the windshield W are pulled up along the lower guide rails 5, so that the windshield W can be smoothly moved up to the roof surface while sliding inside the guide rails 4.
