To provide a winged screwed steel pipe pile which can be buried into stiff ground by screwing by means of wings attached to its middle or its top where the thrusting face is brought out, and which can provided a large soil bearing by use of the wings, with the wings being economical as they require less machining, and being easy to mount on a steel pipe.
A winged screwed steel pipe pile has a lower wing 10 comprising a plurality of steel plates 10a, 10b mounted at or near the end of a steel pipe 2 while being inclined, each of the steel pipes 10a, 10b having a certain shape greater than the outside diameter of the steel pipe 2. The winged screwed steep pipe pile also has an upper wing 20 mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 2 at almost the middle of the steel pipe 2 or above the middle along the longitudinal direction, they upper sing 20 comprising steel plates 20a, 20b formed when a polygonal steel plate greater than the outside diameter of the steel pipe 2 is split into plural parts, the plurality of steel plates 20a, 20b being fitted to the uppering 20 at almost the same angel with the lower wing 10.
