To provide a wiper device surely relaxing an external force acting on a wiper arm in a lock back state, therby surely prenventing breakage of the wiper device.

The wiper device comprises: a crank arm 16 having one end part 16a fixed to an output shaft 11a of a motor 11 and rotated integrally with the output shaft; a link connecting rod 19 connected to the crank arm 16; one pivot arm 17 connected to the link connecting rod 19 and having one end part fixed to a pivot shaft 14a oscillating the wiper arm 15 between an upper inversion position and a lower inversion position; the other pivot arm 17' having one end part fixed to the other pivot shaft 14b; and a connecting rod 20 connecting one pivot arm 17 with the other pivot arm 17'. The wiper arm can stand on a hood side at a stop position of the wiper arm. In the wiper device, the stop position of the wiper arm 15 is set at a position where the crank arm 16 is not aligned with the link connecting rod 19.
