Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device capable of improving wiping performance of a wiper and suppressing a deterioration in durability of a rotor shaft and a worm wheel.SOLUTION: A wiper device transmits torque of an electric motor 16 to a wiper 12A via a torque transmission mechanism, and wipes a wiping surface of an object by reciprocating the wiper 12A. The wiper device includes a controller 27 that performs low-torque control for reciprocating the wiper 12A by outputting low torque from the electric motor 16, and high-torque control for reciprocating the wiper 12A by outputting high torque from the electric motor 16, in a switching manner, when reciprocating the wiper 12A more than once.
