To provide a wiper motor capable of electrically connecting a contact plate to a lead while preventing deterioration of working efficiency.

The wiper motor has a plug socket 17 connected with a brush of a brush device 15, a driving gear 28 stored in a gear frame 21 joined to a motor housing 11 and rotating a crankshaft 29 by the rotation of a rotor shaft 12, a cover 30 mounted to the gear frame 21 and having a coupler 37, and an auto-stop switch arranged between the driving gear 28 and the cover 30 and freely rotatably born by the cover 30. The lead 40 is insert-molded into the cover 30. An external plug 35 arranged in the coupler 37 is formed to one end of the lead 40. An internal plug 36 connected while being fitted to the plug socket 17 is formed to the other end. The contact plate 50 connected to the auto-stop switch and an opening part 56 having a pair of side walls 57a and a blocking wall 57b at a connecting part of the lead 40 are integrally molded to the cover 30.
