Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the wiping range of a wiper-shaft without using a long swing arm by arranging one end part of a joint member for converting circular motion into reciprocating motion within the range in which a pivoting shaft of the joint member is extended in the axial direction through an auxiliary member.
CONSTITUTION: When a brush 3e is energized, an armature 3 is rotated to rotate a worm wheel 5 through an armature shaft 3b, and torotate an auxiliary member 9 integrally with the worm wheel. On the auxiliary member 9, a connecting position C2 placed a specified distance L1 away from the center C1 of rotation of the worm wheel 5 makes circular motion, a first connecting part (b) on a joint member 8 directly connected to the connecting position C2 makes circular motion, and the circular motion is converted into the reciprocating motion of a swing arm 6. A wiper arm 20 is reciprocated-oscillated through a wiper-shaft 7 to wipe a rear door, etc. Thus, a wiper can wipe in a small turning range 92 without enlarging the distance L3 of the swing arm 6.
