Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the exterior view of a portion between a panel of the body of an automobile and a window shield by closing a recessed part where wipers are stored by the use of a covering member which forms a surface extending to the outer surface of the panel. CONSTITUTION:A covering member 12 is arranged so as to cover a recessed part 8 for storing wipers in a condition that a pair of wipers 10 are stored in the recessed part 8. The covering member 12 comprises a pair of flat plate- shaped divided members 12a, 12b. These divided members 12a, 12b are arranged in the width direction of an automobile such that their end peripheral parts on the central side of the body of the automobile are respectively opposed to each other on the upper side of the recessed part 8. The lower sides of the corner parts on the sides of front shields 4 in respective end peripherals parts on the sides of the automobile are mounted on actuators 14A, 14B for elevating the cover member 12. And an actuator 20 for opening/closing the cover member 12, said actuator 20 extending/contracting in front and rear directions of the automobile, are mounted on the central part of a hold board 17.
