Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the falling out of pulp fibers at the time of high-revolution stirring by a washing machine by incorporating a specific ratio of a resin consisting of a synthetic high polymer of a self-cross-linking type having an adhesive function of a specific glass transition temp. into a composite sheet formed by entangling the pulp fibers and thermoplastic continuous filaments with each other.
CONSTITUTION: A paper sheet consisting of the many pulp fibers is laminated on one surface of a filament web integrated with the hydrophobic and thermoplastic continuous filaments. High-pressure water flow is applied toward the filament web side from the paper sheet side to obtain the composite sheet entangled with the pulp fibers and the filaments. After such composite sheet is dried, the self-cross-linking resin of the water-insoluble synthetic high polymer having -50 to +20°C glass transition temp. is incorporated therein at 2 to 17wt.% per over dry weight of the paper sheet constituting the composite sheet. As a result, washing resistance is imparted to the wiping cloth without degrading the performance, such as softness, water absorbency, water retaining property and wiping property.
