To obtain a wiping cloth not causing self-dusting, having bulkiness, water absorbing properties, soft touch and workability and excellent wiping properties, especially a wiping cloth suitable for polishing, dry wiping and finishing of glass product such as glassware, etc.
This wiping cloth comprises a woven or knitted fabric made of a synthetic fiber multifilament yarn which consists of a unprocessed yarn composed of an ultra fine fiber having ≤0.1 denier single filament, a crimped yarn composed of an ultra fine fiber having 0.01-0.1 denier single filament, subjected to false twisting and having crimp and a highly shrinkable yarn having 0.5-7.0 single filament fineness and has 100-300 g/m2 weight. The synthetic fiber multifilament composite yarn having different in yarn length between the unprocessed yarn composed of the ultra fine yarn and the crimped yarn of 5-15% and difference in yarn length between the unprocessed yarn composed of the ultra fine yarn and the highly shrinkable yarn of 8-20% is preferably used.
