To improve cleanness after wiping by using a fabric woven by using the crimped thread of extra fine fiber multi-filaments whose single fiber size is a specified deniers as the weft and high shrinkage multi-filaments having a specified boiling water shrinkage factor as the warp and specifying the ratio of the total fineness of the warp and the weft.
As for this wiping tape, the fabric woven by using the crimped thread of the extra fine fiber multi-filaments whose single fiber fineness is less than 1 denier as the weft and using the high shrinkage multi-filaments whose boiling water shrinkage factor is 10-30% as the warp is used and the ratio of the total sizes of the warp and the weft is made into 1.5-10 times. Also, the multi-filaments including antistatic fibers are used as at least one of the warp and the weft. Further, it is preferable that the weft is the crimped thread of practically non-torque and the warp is the high shrinkage multi- filaments including the antistatic fibers.
