Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wipe with high water absorbability and high dryability which includes piles having high water absorbability and dryability, and which can be effectively used for wiping in wet state or dry state or for removal of moisture on a cleaned object which has been cleaned by washing with water or wet wiping.SOLUTION: A number of substantially cylindrical piles P are arranged on a base cloth S to form wiping portions W. The base of each pile P is joined to the base cloth S. Each pile P includes substantially cylindrical and nonabsorbable filaments F of 0.3 denier which are closely arranged in the radial direction about the axis of the pile P and also in the axial direction. The substantially cylindrical outer periphery of the pile P is formed by tip portions of the filaments F. A tip portion Pa of the pile P has a substantially convex surface formed by the tip portions of the radially arranged filaments F which constitute the pile P.
