To provide a kink detection device capable of detecting the occurrence of if kinks occur when a wire body projects from a delivery line or when the wire body is reduced during the delivery, in the step of pulling out the wire body from a coil and moving it toward a wire drawer.

This wire body kink detection device comprises a base part 3 tiltably supporting the wire body of a snarl stand 2 which is the major part of the detection device in the advancing direction of the wire body and a movable part 6 which is guided and supported on the base part 3 movably in the upper direction and at the upper end of which a through hole 5 for the wire body is formed. The inclination of the snarl stand 2 is detected by a first sensor 7, and the upward movement of the movable part 6 is detected by a second sensor 8 to detect the kinks projecting from the delivery line for the wire body and the kinks formed by reducing the wire body during the delivery.
