Title:
WIRE CLAMPING MECHANISM AND WIRE BONDING APPARATUS COMPRISING THE SAME MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3397951
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate an impact force during a wire holding operation by forming a drive means with a displacement means which gives a driving force to a clamping member to give different operation strokes to each clamping member.
SOLUTION: A vibrating force giving point by a piezoelectric element 50 for both clamping members 31, 32 is set to the point between the narrow areas 36a, 37a as the moving fulcrum point of the clamping members 31, 32 and the holding sections 31a, 32a. In more practical, the distances N1, N2 between the fulcrum point and working point are set equal and the distances n1, n2 between the fulcrum point and forcing point are different with each other. Namely, the working stroke of the clamping member 31 is set smaller than that of the clamping member 32. Thereby, the clamping member 31 having smaller stroke moves in the slower speed. As a result, collision energy required when both clamping members 31, 32 hold the wire 9 is reduced as much to provide a reduced impact force preventing damage of wire 9.
