To provide a wire coating stripping tool capable of easily and surely stripping an insulation coating material of an electric wire, without increasing a worker's workload even in a work by an indirect hot line work technique using an operation tool for an indirect hot line work.
The wire coating stripping tool comprises: a pair of split bodies capable of being mounted to a pair of holding pieces arranged at the tip ends of an operation tool for indirect hot line work. Each split body comprises: a split main body having a coupling part connectable to the holding piece, also a groove part being formed on the split main body, into which a half of an electric wire in the radial direction can be fitted; a first cutter blade mounted to the split main body in a state in which the center of curvature of an arcuate blade whose curvature radius corresponds to the radius of a core wire in the electric wire is aligned with the center of the groove part; a second cutter blade having a linear blade extending in the same direction with the groove part and mounted on the inner peripheral surface of the groove part; and a coating stabbing body protruded on the inner peripheral surface defining the groove part, capable of stabbing an insulation coating material of the electric wire.
