Abstract:

To eliminate variation in the machining results of respective wire-cut electric discharge machines of the same kind, by correcting machining characteristics.

This wire-cut electric discharge machine controls a relative feed speed of a wire electrode 24 and a workpiece 25 by average bath voltage during machining, by generating discharge by intermittently impressing the voltage between poles constituted of the wire electrode 24 and the workpiece 25. A/D conversion is performed with every predetermined period by an A/D converter 31, and is output to a control device 1, by detecting and amplifying bath voltage between the poles by an amplifier 30, with an input device 11 for inputting dimensional information on the workpiece after at least machining. In the wire-cut electric discharge machine, the control device 1 determines an average bath voltage value based on a voltage value from the A/D converter 31, and calculates a correction factor for correcting the average bath voltage value by using correction gain prestored in response to the dimensional information, and controls the relative feed speed based on a corrected bath voltage value provided by multiplying the average bath voltage value by the correction factor.
