Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machine having the prediction function of a filter replacement time and capable of predicting the filter replacement time according to the use condition of the machine.SOLUTION: A wire electric discharge machine has a controller carrying out the following treatments: starting a prediction sequence, acquiring the present machining condition, hydraulic pressure, flow rate and operation rate W of the machine (here, acquisition includes obtaining by calculation), and acquiring a present hydraulic pressure variation amount ΔP by referring to the variation amount ΔP per unit time ΔT and the data of coefficients (SA01 to SA04); calculating Tr (filter usable time) from ΔP, Pn (present hydraulic pressure of the filter) and Pd (life pressure of the filter) using the expression 1: Tr=(Pd-Pn)/ΔP, calculating Td (remaining filter usable time) using the expression: Td=Tr/W, displaying on a display machine, the remaining time till filter replacement or replacement date and time on the basis of Td, and after that, periodically or when there is variation in machining condition, hydraulic pressure or flow rate, returning to the step SA02 to repeat the above treatments.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
