PURPOSE: To easily and securely seal a lead-out port of a wire lead by supporting one side of an output shaft at the center of a housing fitted to a case that incorporates a core, a commutator, and a magnet, or the like, by attaching a hollow cylindrical elastic body to the lead-out port, and by pressing and deforming the elastic body.

CONSTITUTION: By way of an O-ring 22, a housing 13 is fitted to a case 11 of an electric motor that incorporates a coil, a magnet 18, a core, a commutator, or the like, and supports one end of an output shaft 12. A bearing disposed at the center of the housing 13 rotatably supports the output shaft 12. A through-hole 13a of a wire lead 20 is formed in the vicinity of the output shaft 12 of the housing 13. A hollow cylindrical elastic member 21 (a grommet) is fitted to the through-hole 13a, and the wire lead 20 is inserted into this grommet 21. When a case 11 and the housing 13 are fastened together, a small diameter portion and a large diameter portion of the grommet 21 are compressed and deformed. As a result of this, lead-out of the wire lead is easily and securely sealed.
