Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rivet that is used to form a wire net insulator at a hole of a substrate, such as a heat shielding plate, for an exhaust system of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A rivet 13 has a center hole 21, and constitutes an integrated wire net structure 19 including a flange part 15 at its one end and a shaft part 17 at the other end. The ratio of the volume of wire constituting the flange part to the volume of the flange part 15 of the rivet is within a range of 15%-25%, and the ratio of the volume of wire constituting the shaft part to the volume of the shaft part 17 of the rivet is within a range of 7.5%-12.5%. The flange part 15 has higher density than that of the shaft part 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
