To smoothly deliver a large-size wire from a wire rod wound into a coil shape, to facilitate the replacement and the terminal connecting work of the wire rod, and to improve work safety.

A first wire rod 1-1 out of a plurality of wire rods each wound with the large-size wire into the coil shape is fitted to a payoff device. The large-size wire is delivered from the first wire rod 1-1, and the first wire rod 1-1 is removed from the payoff device when the remainder of the wire becomes small. A second wire rod 12 fully wound with the large-size wire is fitted to the payoff device, both terminals of the large-size wires of the first and second wire rods 1-1, 1-2 are connected, and the large-size wire is hoisted to a hoisting drum support device installed at a high place. A lift mechanism optionally lifting and lowering the hoisting drum support device between a floor surface and the high place is installed on this wire rod hoisting device.
