Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire saw which can keep a tension to be imparted to a wire row constant and can reduce a tension of a wire to be taken up by wire reels.
SOLUTION: Between a dancer rollers 20A and 20B arranged between a pair of wire reels 12A and 12B, a tension adjusting means 22 for adjusting a tension to be imparted to a wire row 16 is provided. To the wire row 16, a tension adjusted by the tension adjusting means 22 is imparted. On the other hand, to a wire 10 which travels between the tension adjusting means 22 and the wire reels 12A, 12B, a tension caused by the dancer rollers 20A and 20B is imparted. Accordingly, as the tension of the wire 10 to be taken up by the wire reels 12A and 12B is imparted at the dancer rollers 20A and 20B, loads to be exerted on the wire reels 12A and 12B can be reduced by lowering the set value.
