Title:
WIRE SHEATH STRIPPING TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012039750
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a wire sheath stripping tool capable of being remotely operated so that a guard retreated from a blade edge can be moved back to a position to guard the blade edge when stripping a sheath of a electric wire, and preventing a drop of the stripped sheath as well.

A pair of abutting bodies 2, 5 are provided so that they can freely rotate around, come in contact with and separate from a sheath C1 of an electric wire C. Concave grooves 3, 6 abutting the sheath C1 of the electric wire C are formed on the opposite surfaces of the abutting bodies 2, 5. A cut-in blade 10 is fixed to the abutting body 5 so that a blade edge 10a projects out from a side wall 6b of the concave groove 6. Guards 20 are provided so that they can move to a retreat position R retreated from the blade edge 10a projecting out from the side wall 6b of the concave groove 6, and to a forward position F guarding the blade edge 10a. Gripping parts A are formed to the guards 20 in such a size that they can be gripped by a gripping tool for an indirect live line. Projection pieces 22 are disposed at the gripping parts A in a way that a gap H is formed between the cut-in blade 10 and the projection pieces 22, through which the stripped sheath C1 can be inserted.
