To eliminate with high accuracy a clearance between wire rows formed by winding a wire around a rod.

A guide plate 48 for guiding the entry of the wire 32 to the rod 14 is fittingly mounted in an axially slidable manner to the outside of the rod 14. The entering wire 32 is thrusted between the guide plate 48 and the end of the already wound wire row 52 to go on winding the wire 32 around the rod 14 while sliding the guide plate 48 in the axial direction of the rod by one turn portion of the wire. In this winding of the wire 32, a corotation preventing means prevents the corotation of the guide plate 48 with the rotation of the rod 14, and since the guide plate is energized with force in a reverse direction to the winding direction of the wire 32 by an energizing means 50, the entering wire 32 is wound while being pressed to the already wound wire row 52 always with the same pressing force.
