The system 10 utilizing the coaxial cable 1 for broadcast wave transmission to carry out wired communication processing is provided with: the coaxial cable 1 through which the broadcast wave signal with a prescribed frequency band can be transmitted; and two communication apparatuses #i or more and the communication apparatus #i selects a carrier frequency fc and a bandwidth Bw available for a free frequency band of the frequency bands of the broadcast wave signal transmitted through the coaxial cable 1 to execute communication. Through the configuration above, the home network system or the like sharing the existing coaxial cable 1 for broadcast wave transmission can be built up.
