To manufacture, without increasing the number of processes, a wired front face protective plate for a display device having visible information and a wire at a part of a light-shielding layer provided for hiding the wire and the like of an outer periphery part of a touch panel or the like, and to provide a display device including the same.
A wired front face protective plate 10 for a display device includes a light-shielding layer 2 in which a part of visible information 3 is defined as a non-forming part, formed on a surface of an opaque area A2 of a translucent substrate 1. A visible information forming layer 3L formed to be visible, at the part of the non-forming part, from the translucent substrate side, and a wire 4 formed at a part of the light-shielding layer 2 are simultaneously formed of the same material on a surface on which both can be simultaneously formed. Further, a transparent electrode for detecting a position of a touch panel is provided. The transparent electrode may be integrated with the touch panel. The display device is provided by including, for example, a touch panel in the wired front face protective plate and combining it with a display panel such as a liquid crystal display panel and an EL panel.
