To provide a wireless base station apparatus (radio master unit), wireless base station system, and a method of establishing a communication path for handover control in order to realize seamless handover without making a non-handover-supported management unit and a partner terminal of the management unit aware of handover while improving communication route efficiency.
First path establishment means is provided for establishing a control path CL related to a call connection to a radio master unit CS1 when a handover request is received from a radio slave unit PS1. Second path establish means is also provided for establishing a voice path VL related to a voice and/or image to a radio master unit CS3 without being routed through the radio master unit CS1 when the control path CL is established. In addition, relay means is provided for relaying control information related to the call connection of the radio slave unit PS1 to the radio master unit CS3 through the control path and for relaying a voice and/or image to the radio master unit CS3 through the voice path VL.
