Title:
WIRELESS BASE STATION TEST DEVICE AND ITS TEST METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3479263
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless base station test device that can test a wireless base station using the same frequencies in sectors by each sector without receiving interference from other sectors.
SOLUTION: A test unit 1 has 2-beam antennas 4a-4c that select two beam directions corresponding to sector antennas 5a-5f by each sensor zone resulting from dividing a base station service area. Two each of radiation elements 41a-41f of each beam antenna are connected to a corresponding hybrid circuit in a beam switching unit 20. A control section 11 selects an object hybrid circuit and selects one of its input terminals to receive a transmission wave from a transmission/reception section 12 in order to select a beam direction. Since only one sector antenna exists in the selected beam direction, the test unit 1 can test the sector antenna and a transmitter-receiver by each sector without receiving interference from other sectors.
