PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device that improves the convenience of communication by proximity wireless communication in the case where in proximity wireless communication, a user does not know the position of an antenna of a communication apparatus, and cannot start communication by simply getting communication apparatuses closer.SOLUTION: A signage device (radio communication device) 200 includes: a first communication unit (Bluetooth (R) communication unit 220) for measuring distance from an opposite device (mobile terminal device 200); a second communication unit (proximity wireless communication unit 230) for communicating with the opposite device by radio; and a control unit (CPU 210) for inducing a user to communicate with the opposite device via the second communication unit when the distance from the opposite device is within a first distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
