In a wireless communication system, bidirectional wireless time division duplex communication is performed using a first frequency channel between a first wireless station and a second wireless station. The wireless communication system includes a first wireless communication apparatus wired to an antenna terminal of the first wireless station and a second wireless communication apparatus wired to an antenna terminal of the second wireless station. The first wireless communication apparatus and the second wireless communication apparatus convert a frequency of a signal of the first frequency channel transmitted through time division duplex communication between the first wireless station and the second wireless station, into a signal of a second frequency channel distinct from the first frequency channel.
