Abstract:
To provide a wireless communication system and an on-vehicle device capable of achieving power saving of the on-vehicle device while improving responsiveness in communication between an electronic key terminal and the on-vehicle device that can perform wireless digital communication with the electronic key terminal.SOLUTION: In digital wireless communication performed by a vehicle 1 and an electronic key terminal 2, the electronic key terminal 2 and the vehicle 1 periodically perform advertisement transmission at a first time interval, periodically perform collation communication for confirming whether authentication of the electronic key terminal 2 has succeeded or not after the advertisement transmission at a second time interval, and perform a periodical communication to be performed after establishment of the authentication through the collation communication at a third time interval. The third time interval of the periodical communication is set longer than the second time interval of the collation communication. Consequently, responsiveness in the communication between the electronic key terminal 2 and the vehicle 1 can be achieved. Further the first time interval of the advertisement transmission is set longer than the second time interval of the collation communication. Consequently, power saving of the vehicle 1 can be achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
