Abstract:
To provide a technique capable of more efficiently controlling the transmission power of a base station.SOLUTION: A wireless communication system includes a measuring unit that measures the number of vehicles passing through a detection target area within a predetermined time, a wireless communication unit that performs wireless communication with the vehicle, and a control unit that performs control such that the transmission power by the wireless communication unit becomes first power when the number of vehicles is below a predetermined threshold, and performs control such that the transmission power of the wireless communication unit becomes second power larger than the first power when the number of vehicles is larger than the threshold, and a communication area of the wireless communication unit is located downstream of the detection target area of the measuring unit in the traveling direction of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
