To provide a wireless communication terminal having a plurality of communication modes including communication with a prescribed call unit number of free communication charge whereby communication residual can be used without waste by checking the communication residual before making a call and preferentially making communication in a communication mode having the communication residual.
A mobile phone 2 has a plurality of the communication modes including free communication charges by a prescribed number of call units. First and second IC cards 212, 213 respectively store a communication residual of communication modes 1, 2. When a user makes a call, a processor 203 checks the communication residual in the communication mode 1 and makes the call in the communication mode 1 when the residual exists. When there is no communication residual in the communication mode 1, the processor 203 checks communication residual in the communication mode 2. When there is communication residual in the communication mode 2, the processor 203 selects the communication mode 2 and makes a call. The processor 203 calculates a communication charge on the basis of the communication of the user to calculate the newest communication residual.
