To provide a method and a device capable of easily controlling antenna switching using a simple solving means for implementing the switching control by software at a MAC, i.e. a digital portion, in other words, addition of a control program and a simple antenna switching portion.

The wireless device comprises an antenna having non-directivity and directivity to a plurality of arbitrary directions, and a control unit capable of controlling the directivity of the antenna. In the wireless device, the non-directivity and the directivity are controlled periodically.
